Rich cleansing balm for dry skin

Shannon (Adore Beauty Staff)

Though I usually recommend cleansing balms for all skin types, this is one that definitely lends itself more to dry or dehydrated skin types. It's very rich and balmy, and doesn't have that quick-to-rinse-away, lighter texture that many cleansing oils have in comparison. This is definitely one for when your skin is compromised, or when it's cold outside and you don't want something even remotely stripping.

I actually like using this before I go ahead with a strong exfoliant serum - it reduces the efficacy of the exfoliant, which is sometimes all I need.

This has more of a waxy finish, so be sure to use warm water with a gentle cloth to take this off. It smells like olive oil & a kind of greeny, herbal-ness, but it's not at all strong. Hard to describe, but very neutral and doesn't offend me even when I've got a migraine.

Cleanses and conditions BEAUTIFULLY I have to say! used consistently my lashes and brows are looking and feeling great.Very effectively removes makeup too, even the really tricky stuff.

Lovely texture but scent overpowering

Amy

Bought this to use as part of double cleanse, would suit someone not keen on an oil cleanse part as texture is firm but still leaves skin feeling very soft!very gentle and nourishing and worked well with a cloth to remove make up. However I found the scent to overpowering and price too expensive too repurchase.

I’ve stuck to this cleanser for almost two years & have repurchased it multiple times! Lasts a decent 6 months or so. Very gentle & i love the soothing scent.

I had never used a butter cleanser before this but I love it! It's fantastic if you have dry skin and my skin feels so smooth and nourished afterwards

This is one of my all time favourite cleansers!!! I've norm/comb skin and after only a few weeks use, my oily spots seemed to regulate and my skin looked more even and radiant.

  6. smell nice

    mengying

This product is a kind of very oily balm you apply on your face and then message and then use warm water to wash off. It can clean make up on my face just I need to use only water without towel due to oil dirt can't easily cream.
  7. There are better options available

    Fiona Lucy

I couldn't get this to work for me. I found it hard to massage into my skin. It wouldn't remove easily and I use a warm damp face cloth to remove my cleansers. Might work better for someone else.
  8. Fantastic nourishing make up remover and cleanser!

    Elmo

I've had this one on my wish list for a while and finally splurged to buy some for myself! I'm finding as I get a little older (late 20s) my skin really responds well to cleansing oils. I use a little of this in the morning to wash off my night cream and serum from the night before, and then again at night before I use my other cleanser with my Clarisonic MIA. I'm hopeless at describing scents ...
