Most Helpful Positive

Rich cream
This is a thick rich cream for very dry or sensitive skin.
It looks and feels like a normal cream but after I apply it it doesn't completely absorb and leaves a thin film on the skin. But not in a bad way, it feels like I've got a sleeping mask on.
My skin feels hydrated and comforted all night and I've got smooth soft skin the next morning.
This has a strong herbal, almost medicinal smell, but it dissipates quickly.
This is a great rich cream for the colder months or when my skin is needing some extra comfort.

Most Helpful Criticism

Moisturizing but nothing special
I was recommended this to take with me when I was travelling to a colder climate and it was moisturizing but not intensely, there wasn't anything special about it that made it suitable to the cold climate I was in. Had to mix it with an oil
  1. Rich cream

  2. Great for winter months

This is a great product that I use during the cold winter months. I find my skin becomes quite dehydrated and need something thicker and more hydrating. The bottle lasts a while as you don't have to use too much. The cream has a nice light herbal scent and the texture has the perfect thickness to it. I usually don't have dry skin so it tends to make my skin slightly oily when I use the left overs going into the warmer months. It's a great cream for people with dry skin or something looking for a thicker cream for the winter.
  3. A lifesaver for dry skin

If you have extremely dry or dry skin then this is the cream for you. If not, you still might benefit from using it during the winter months. It's an absolute life saver for me as I found my skin just wasn't feeling hydrated enough even after using my full skin care regime. Before using this my skin would peel and get crack each winter but it hasn't happened since I started using this.

  5. Aesop Elemental Facial Barrier Cream

I found this to be an average moisturiser. It didn't make me break out, which a lot of things do, so that was great. And it has a nice light consistency. But it just didn't seem to provide enough moisture and my skin always felt like it needed something else. It also didn't last for very long which was disappointing considering the price. I won't repurchase.
  6. Nice rich cream

For winter or when my skin is feeling extra dry, I use this and it's indeed moisturizing and hydrating and keeps my skin soft and smooth, protected against the elements
  7. Great in winter

I have sensitive/combination skin and this was recommended to me as a winter moisturizer. It's rich but not so much that it causes my skin to breakout and it is great as a day or night cream when your skin needs some extra nourishment
  8. Winter Dry Skin Saviour

If you suffer from extreme dryness or tend to become drier and tighter during the colder months then this cream is going to repair and maintain a moist feeling on your face. It doesnt get oily or look/feel heavy on the skin however apply this liberally after a good cleanse and tone of your face and you can kiss those tight skin days goodbye. I can not recommend this cream enough if you're face is in need of some rescuing.
  9. Product did a great job

i had a terrible sun burn and a friend suggested me this. i have very sensitive and dry skin. this product did wonders. just using it after like 2-3 days i saw that it healed my skin and the dry patches and redness was gone. amazing product truly recommended
  10. Great for dry skin

Put on at night and it's great for dry skin. Smells like a day spa. Will re-purchase.
  11. Great product

Have just started using this as a night cream and it is lovely.
  12. LUXURIOUS EXPERIENCE

I use this cream together with few drops of Damascan Rose treatment blended in, and it's the best treat for my dry and sensitive skin. I love and buy these products all the time.
  13. Awesome winter moisturiser!

This is a beautiful product and like all other Aesop products it smells heavenly!
It has a wonderful thick consistency that spreads well and is not greasy.
True to it’s name it provides a barrier against the cold winter elements leaving your skin soft and hydrated.
I use it as a day cream only and use my regular nighttime cream in the evening.
  14. Smells divine

I'm 40 with dry skin and I use this all year round. Its super concentrated so you only need a tiny amount.
  15. Skin Saver

This is one of my holy grail products and an absolute skin saver. It worked miracles last Winter when I was suffering from eczema on my face and will be repurchasing in the next few weeks.
  16. Good outdoor moisturiser

Outdoor, frosty mornings, hot windy days, this cream delivers. I also use it with other Aesop products for sun and added moisture.
  17. A must have for winter

This product is a life-saver for skin in cold climates. My skin is reasonably dry, however in winter when I am exposed to a lot of heating indoors my skin has a tendency to become very irritated as well.
This cream helps to protect my skin from moisture loss, as it sits on the skin rather than soaking in (it is still fine to wear under makeup, and often I just use it an night anyway to give my skin a good hydration boost overnight).
You only need a very small amount, and my last bottle lasted me around 9 months. I would recommend this product for anyone who has dry skin and/or irritated skin and finds that their skin worsens when exposed to a lot of artificial heating/cooling or highly polluted environments.
  18. great for VERY dry skin or extreme weather

this is wonderful - but only if you have very dry skin, or live in a cold/windy/dry climate (including perhaps ferocious air conditioning) - as I do on all counts.
this has saved my skin thru a Hobart winter.
I use serums and my usual moisturisers underneath, then this on top (then sunblock of course during the day). just a small dollop - it is exceptionally thick, but once warmed it moves around easily.
it has stopped my skin feeling parched, especially in some offices where the air conditioning can suck the moisture out of your skin!
it smells wonderful, like cloves. I love it around my eyes, though if I get it IN my eyes it can sting.
really worth it if you have really dry/dehydrated skin or severe environmental conditions to live in.
