I like to use these types of hydrating serums in winter under my moisturiser to help combat the drying effects. This is my second bottle. Its a bit misleading as it is incredibly light you wonder how it could be moisturising, we expect an oily product. Sodium Hyaluronate is not an oil based product. So yes it feels like water when you apply it. It soaks straight into the skin without any residue allowing you to then apply your moisturiser & make up without fear of it sliding all over your face throughout the day. My only complaint is that it is pretty exy.

I have very oily skin so never really thought a product like this would suit me. However having used a sample when I had sensitive, dehydrated skin due to a lingering cold and frequent air travel, I immediately purchased a full sized bottle. This thin gel serum applies beautifully and immediately sinks into the skin leaving a semi-matte finish. Does not clog pores and can be used under other products in a skincare routine. What I really loved about it was that it calmed and rested my skin - low-level redness and moderate sensitivity was assisted and skintone overall looked more even and simply healthy. I think if you have very dry skin you may need to layer something richer over the top but this is a wonderful product for me.

With the great reviews I tried to love this product but just didn't! I had a sample size and used it for a good two week consecutive period. It felt like I was rubbing in water into my face and didn't feel any sort of hydration immediately. I admit after I put my moisutriser over it, my skin felt more hydrated and silky however on a deeper level I don't think it did anything for my skin. I didn't feel I got results from this product and I emailed the company asking about the percentages of the ingredients and it wasn't even that high anyway. Will not repurchase as I feel my Rosehip oil does a more better short and long term hydration to my skin .

I used a sample of this product for approximately 2 weeks and found it very light and instantly absorbed by my skin. It was very hydrating and I noticed an immediate improvement on my very dry lips after use. It was not as immediately noticeable on the rest of my face, but it definitely hepled. For one week that I was using this I did a lot of travelling by air and road which usually affects my skin quite negatively, but I found that my skin stayed resonably hydrated and in good condition. I think that this serum is one that would be ideal for when your skin needs a lift and is an ideal serum to have if you have been sick or stressed etc. I would definitely think about purchasing this serum.

This is my review of the Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Gel sample that I was sent to try. Product is said to to be "enriched with vitamin B5 known to help with tissue repair and replenishes nutrients the skin needs to feel soft and appear younger". I used the product for about a week & a half. 2 - 3 drops are applied to face, neck, chest (avoiding eye area) and used twice daily after serums and before moisturisers. Product was lightweight, absorbed quickly and, yes, it did feel as though it was adding much needed hydration to my skin. But after a week and a half I haven't notice any real difference in my skin.

Fantastic for dry, flakey patches of skin. I have used it all over my face when I have a cold or feel a bit dry and parched, but for me, this product is particularly helpful when my chin gets a bit dry and flakey after a bit of a pash! Would never be without it.
