Ten Tips to Smart Skin Health
I Need Help With Dry Skin and Pigmentation but I Want to Keep it Simple!
Why use a starter kit?
Different brands put together different kinds of kits to help get the basics for your skin without too much fuss. Most starter kits - contain just a few key -products for your specific skin type, to get you up and running quickly and easily. Most starter kits come with smaller-sized products, so it’s a cost-effective way to try a handful of new products and get your new routine in place. Starter kits are also great for travel!
Once you start using your kit products and you feel confident with them, you can then add to your new skin routine to tailor it exactly to your needs, by adding in extras like a serum, a mask and an eye cream.
What might I find in a starter kit?
Usually a basic starter kit will include a cleanser, moisturiser and an exfoliant. Some more extensive starter kits may also include a toner and both a day cream with sun protection as well as a night cream.
All starter kits will be different depending on the brand and what they’ve put together. Some very basic kits might have just three small products. Other larger starter kits may have up to six products to give you a more complete skin routine.
What won’t I find in a kit that I might need?
Most kits won’t contain serums because these are quite specific to individual skin concerns. So once you get confident using the products in your skin kit, you might want to consider adding a serum to your routine to treat some of your more specific skin concerns and boost your skin routine.
Many skin kits won’t contain a mask. Often kits will focus on the basic products that you would use everyday. Masks are only used once a week but they’re very effective. One you feel good about using your starter kit products, you could then add a weekly mask to your routine.
Often skin kits won’t contain an eye cream. It’s easy though to select your own eye cream separately that suits your individual preferences. If you’re not sure, you can always ask us!
