Ole Henriksen Enlighten Me Serum

I should preface by saying I have quite stubborn pigmentation on my face, I've tried a long list of products and so far nothing had had much effect. And this serum fits right in with that list. The ingredients read like a dream - vitamin C, lactic acid and mulberry extract and the serum itself is quite nice to apply. It is quity liquid-y and easily dispensed from the pump dispenser. I found a single pump provided just a smidge too much product but I just applied the excess to my neck and decolletage. It absorbs within about 5 minutes and leaves my skin feeling great. Although I didn't get amazing results from this serum (but with my skin I wasn't expecting a miracle), it does have a lot of benefits like excellent ingredients, quick absorbtion (no greasy residue so it could be used under make up I think), feels gentle and has a neat little dispenser. If you have mild pigmentation and don't want anything too powerful, I think this could be a great product to try.

I have been using Ole Henriksen's Enlighten Me Pigment Lightening Serum for around a month. I have two tiny pigmentation marks under my eyes but I am very aware that they are there and of course would want to get rid of them if I could. This serum comes in the standard size for most serums of 30ml. It comes with a pump dispenser which makes it easy to use. The Consistency of the serum is quite runny in comparison to other serums I have used.It doesn't really have much of a smell and is a yellowy brown colour. One pump of the serum provides more than enough serum to cover the entire face because it is quite runny a little goes a long way. I should probably mention that the pump brings out more product per pump than you would actually use so you have to be careful not to waste it. The serum absorbs very easily into the skin. My skin feels very velvety soft after application. I almost feel as if I don't need anything else on my skin after using this but as recommended I am using the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Creme in conjunction with this. In the past month I have noted a considerable lightening to the small pigmentation marks on my face. I can barely see them anymore so the serum has really worked for me. I must emphasise that my pigmentation marks were very minor so I am not sure how this would work on more severe types of pigmentation. Overall my skin looks better and is most certainly feeling softer, plumper and more even toned than it was prior to using it. This is a product you would have to use religiously every day to get the lightening benefits as it took around three weeks before I could see a notable improvement but then after the three weeks my skin appeared better and better every day. I gave this product an overall rating of four stars simply because it is a gorgeous product and I enjoyed using it and will continue to use it. The reason I didn't give it five is because my pigmentation marks didn't disappear completley, one single pump of the serum probably gives much more product than you actually need, making you waste a bit and it is quite expensive. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a few pigmentation marks that they want to try and fade. The product makes the skin feel amazing and it really does provide results. While this serum is a nice, light texture that sinks-in quickly with a secure 'twisty' lid, which is good for travel, it fails to deliver on the claims it makes; after more than 6 weeks using it every night I've not noticed any difference in the clarity of my skin nor any freckle fading. I wouldn't buy this product again - the cost isn't worth it. I will research products that claim to address these issues and next try a cosmeceutical/clinically proven product. I thoroughly reccommend everyone who is looking for a similar result to do the same.
