  1. super moisturising

    JKD

I use this all over - my skin has been unusually dry this winter and this really saved my shins and elbows. In winter when it is cold, I would quickly run my hairdryer over it to get the butter to melt so it's easier to apply. Love it. I use it on lips and also onto of all my skin care products at night to seal it all in when im sleeping (once a fortnight) its ethically sourced as well!!
  2. Deeply hydrating

    Katy

The L'Occitane Shea Butter is truly amazing! My hands have been so dry and cracked, and using this every night has healed up my skin. I also use it as a lip balm. Really soothing, hydrating and skin replenishing!
  3. Good as a lip balm

    Vai

I have mostly used this as a lip balm and on any dry patches on the body. Quite moisturising and smells good. Not a fan of the container.
  4. Extreme hydration

    Gigi

This really is a gorgeously hydrating product for the body, you can't go wrong.
  5. Very moisturising

    Reggie1924

Very sticky, but also the only thing that has been moisturising enough to save my extremely dry shins in winter. I put it on at night, then my pyjamas, so my clothes don't get sticky/greasy.
  6. Great moisturising butter.

This is a fabulous shea butter just perfect for dry - very skin. Its definitely rich so wouldn't suit anyone with oily skin or skin that doesn't need a lot of hydration. Its non irritating and gentle on my sensitive skin. I find it takes a while to absorb into the skin and does leave a small greasy residue which doesn't bother me. Highly recommended.
  7. Multi-function

    Mag

First of all, it’s a fair trade product, and for that reason alone, it deserves to be looked at.
My husband bought this balm because he shaved his head and a barber had advised him. Finally I use it because it’s way too greasy for his skull. Very practical in this format, I use it for lips, feet, cuticles... sometimes the nose when I have a flu. In short, it is multi-function and with 150 m...

In love with this. Perfect for the harsh winter time
  10. Strongly recommend

    Sarah

I have used this for years as lip balm overnight, which is when I find my lips get especially dry. I also use it on especially dry skin occasionally, such as my elbows. I love the simplicity of having just one ingredient and the long lasting moisture it provides.
  11. Nourishment

    depi

This is super moisturising and I use it during the winter when my face and body gets super dry
  12. Good All Rounder

    Beauty Lover

I have been using this on my cuticles, nails and surrounding skin to try and repair the area after an unfortunate experience with a nail oil that I thought was simply moisturising but actually caused serious damage - I ended up with flaking nails that kept tearing halfway down the nail bed and skin splitting all around my nails! Anyway, in my horror I decided to give pure Shea a try and have been ...

  13. Love this!

    Sarah

Good for lots of uses, I use this as a lip balm, rub into elbows or other rough patches and even use it for eczema as a barrier. I buy the large size and refill my small tubs for my handbag.
  14. A must-have product

    Jenna

This is a product I cannot do without as it has so many uses - heel balm, lip balm, winter hand cream.

It’s super emollient and hydrating and lasts forever.
  15. Endless uses!

    Ella

I started using this is a lip balm because I react badly to a lot of ingredients in lip balms, including natural things like lanolin and beeswax. Not only is is ideal for that - no reaction at all, and very softening - but I've used it for everything under the sun.

It's great for hands and nails, patches of dermatitis, scratches and scars. You can blend it with lighter moisturisers i...

  16. Handy little cream for all sorts of ailments

    MellowYellow

A lady at a L'Occitane boutique recommended this to me, and said it was suitable for children's skin too. So i now use it to help heal my 2 year old's grazed knees, and occasionally insect bites too. It actually helps her skin heal a lot faster than other creams, lotions and potions. I think because it's such a natural product, it works really well to rejuvenate skin, young and old. I always have ...

  17. Multiple uses

    Sarah

I use this as an extra layer to moisturise my hands after lots of changing nappies and hand washing every day. It is quite thick so I only use it overnight. I also use it for lips and any dry patches. I don’t like that it comes in a tub but I’m not sure how else you’d package it.
  18. Great

    Alice

My skin can get extremely dry sometimes and this helps during those times immensely
  19. Great Product

    Katrina

I suffer from psoriasis and mix this with creams from the chemist. I am very happy with the Shea range and my skin feels less irritated . A little goes a long way. Well worth getting.
  20. great product

    Raha

I suffer from dry skin and this product keeps my body very hydrated! I use it especially on my elbows and knees. Another great product from the line, recommended!!

  23. Holy Grail of Loccitane

    Anita

No beauty regime should be complete without the Shea Butter by Loccitane. Smooth and hydrate dry skin with this rich cream. Not just for body, i de-pot this and use as a lip balm and emergency dry spot moisturizer for my face!! Fantastic product can’t live without it!!
  24. Great for dry skin

    John

Really great balm that works great for dry skin. You only need a bit at a time so the tin will last a while
  25. Great product

    Emily

You can use anywhere with no nasty ingredients
  26. hydrating and soothing

    moonlightari

I love this stuff, I use it on chapped lips, cuticles, dry hands, bites etc. I love that I don't have to worry about any nasty ingredients, it's nourishing shea butter is calming on the skin.
  27. Handy

    Isobel

A handy sized tin with a lot of product and a nice moisturizing factor. Not sure how different the formula is from all their other products but I do find myself reaching for the tube moisturizers more to be honest.
  28. Perfect for dry skin

    Vivienne

Shea butter is so nourishing for dry skin and I love this tin. I use it as a booster and mix it with creams when my skin is feeling extra dry
  29. Good product slightly thick

    Elizabeth

I liked this product but the only flaw is that it sets very hard and is very difficult to get the butter soft enough to spread in between hands. Maybe it’s due to cold weather in winter time. After getting past this, the butter is wonderful. It smells great and my skin feels super soft.
  30. Last forever

    Vanessa

You can never go wrong with pure shea butter, and this is one of my favourite. I keep it on my bedside table. I apply this on my lips on hand and my elbows when they get dry. It is so moisturising and pleasant to use.
