Strips off all of my makeup, without leaving any residue. I have oily skin- and this controls it fantastic- leaves the skin velvety, soft but firm. Not tight. Was not drying. But then those that have dry or sensitive skin may find it too drying- even though this is intended for oily skin, the red rice ingredient is aimed totally at this condition. So those who have dry skin should expect it would be too drying as it's not meant for their skin. I used the mask in this line, fantastic. Not crazy about some of the ingredients, but at the end of the day, it removes all traces of makeup and doesn't leave a greasy residue or mess with oily/acne prone skin.

I was extremely dissatisfied with this L'Occitane product. Even though this cleanser has a pleasant fragrance, I found it to over bearing for my liking. I also noticed that it includes the ingredient "sodium laurth salfate (which does not agree with my skin :( I don't know why they have to put so many "chemicals" in?) The texture does feel very velvety, I'd have to agree on that. However, it is "strong and very concentrated" for my sensitive/combination skin type, leaving it irritated and longing for moisture. I am now using this as a hand cleanser (just to use it up) I'm finding that this product also leaves my hands feeling cleansed, but also very dehydrated.

What a great cleanser! My skin feels so soft and velvety after using this, followed up with the L'Occitane Rice Toner. I have very oily skin and this really keeps it under control, even when I use a different moisturiser.

The first thing I noticed about this product was the smell. As with the toner, at first I found it refreshing, but after a few uses the smell became overwhelming. As a cleanser, this product was light but worked easily into a nice foam & left the face feeling clean without the skin feeling 'tight'.

The first thing I noticed about L'Occitane Rice Foaming Cleanser was the smell. It will be familiar to L'Occitane lovers - the soft, clean scent of quality. That's how this product felt to use too. It produced a soft, rather luxurious lather and was not drying at all. It left no residue, and my skin felt supple and cleansed afterwards. I probably won't repurchase based solely on the fact that I prefer my skincare to contain more active ingredients. However, if you are looking for a simple and beautiful foaming cleanser for your oily or combo skin, then go no further.
