Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder

This is a sheer loose powder with fine shimmer particles. It can be used for highlighting or as a sheer eyeshdow. I have Candlelight and I think it works beautifully washed over the top of Becca eyetint in Baroque for a natural look. Also lovely on the tops of the cheekbones, browbone or cupid's bow. Its exy but you only need a little of the powder & the jar is quite generous.

Adore kindly sent me this in Starlight, which provides a golden sheen. The best thing about this is the texture, it is DIVINE, dummy-proof, it practically floats it is so very finely milled! You can use a very small amount (courtesy of the twisty cover) for a daytime 'glow' to highlight your preferred areas or use it anywhere you bare skin at night. It blends EFFORTLESSLY and reflects light nicely. In short: I love it! I worried at first because I am fair so look awful in gold jewellery, but somehow this stuff makes me look Bond Girl-esque, so I keep striking poses in the mirror! I will use it whenever I get the chance but there is so much in the pot that it'll last me a long time.

I was given this product to review in Candlelight. It's very pretty, creates a soft shimmer on your skin. I am not a huge user of shimmery products, however I really like this brushed over the apples of the cheeks and anywhere you would like a soft glow. The tub is huge and you only need the tiniest amount, so it will last forever. For that reason I think it is good value for money. I'm looking forward to experimenting with it a bit more. The loose powder is a bit messy to use, but no more than any other loose powder product.

I.LOVE.THIS. I have Candlelight - described as a soft shimmery rose gold. I personally use this as a highlighter on the cheekbones, browbones and above the cupids bow. It makes you look angelic, as opposed to an out-dated disco ball. And you only need a small amount to get the effect. This will last me a long time. The product is packaged in a screw-top tub. Within the tub is another twist dial with holes for sifting the powder out and a solid part for keeping it safely in. My only gripe is that I sometimes have trouble getting the powder out without making a big mess. But that could just be me. If you're lacking a highlight powder in your kit, go and buy this one! WARNING: use of this may prompt people to ask you -"Are you an angel? Because I think you just fell from heaven."

Wow - I am super impressed with Laura Mercier's products...particularly the mineral makeup which the brand is renown for. Candlelight Illuminating Powder, a gorgeous shimmery beige-gold, is super light, ultra soft on the skin and goes on SO NATURALLY you really have to squint to see the particles on the skin (which is a good thing because it does not cake). The product delivers a buildable coverage, makes your skin glow from within and feels great because it is made from all-natural products and does not irritate my skin. I would most likely purchase this product in future and recommend it for skins in need of a natural glow. It is truly a beautiful highlighter - ask Nikki; it's her new favourite product! Thanks Adore for stocking such a beautiful product.
