I have been using Bare Essentials Mineral makeup for about 6 years... the coverage is great. It doesn't irritate, I almost always forget to take my makeup before going to bed, but there is no irritation and usually it still looks perfect in the morning. I get a lovely even coverage.

After having read all the reviews I was excited to try this - although I was disappointed I'm afraid. Bad points first - During summer or across the day this product will shine up. also if you have large pores in some areas - this product will not only not cover them, in some cases their size has been intensified and I have rushed in horror to get the product off! The primer doesn't help this and I am still at a loss to work out what the mineral veil is supposed to do. Good stuff - using the light coverage brush has produced the best results with some nice coverage and most imperfections masked. the texture is light and matte - for a while at least. My main gripes are that I don't think it wears well across the day, its difficult to take with you, and I don't feel my skin gets any benefit from the 'mineral' aspect compared to some of the nicer make up brands. Going back to Chanels, Diors and Lancomes of the world.

Love it, love it, love it. I don't normally wear makeup but was recommended Bare Escentuals on a recent trip to the US. Now, cannot wear foundation everyday. Combined with Warmth, gives me a lovely glow all day. Only problem is that packaging not handbag friendly.

I first tried this product 3 years ago and was given the wrong shade. It looked horrible but I decided to give it another go a week a go. I was matched with the lightest shade available; fair. It suits my skin perfectly and the foundation seems to be better at absorbing oil then the one I previously had. I love how you don't you feel like you're wearing foundation wtih it on and if you want full coverage it still looks like your skin! Love and highly recommend it.

This is a really fabulous product; I have oily skin prone to congestion and my skin has improved no-end since converting to this from a foundation with mineral oils and other nasties. The staying power is great and I feel especially reassured by the physical sun protection, which my fair skin needs every day. The Mica in this brand adds a touch of shimmer, and I find I get a particularly radiant finish (with less powder) when I use in conjunction with a primer like Beauty Flash Balm. I have of course spilled the powder though thanks to trying to tip some in the lid-so that's my only criticsm; not especially user-friendly. But overall if you haven't tried it, do! You won't go back.

This powder is heaven in a teenie, plastic, tupperware-like tub. For almost two months now I have been using it and am extremely happy. I have combination/oily skin, and it does wonders for minimizing pores and creating a smooth, flawless finish (without leaving a cake-y quality, the one place you DON'T want that) I've been using the 'light' shade, and could probably go a bit deeper in tone. It's true that it isn't exactly travel-friendly - the whole loose powder thing and all - but I've never needed to re-apply during the night or the day. It is truly brilliant stuff, and will cater to all different skin types.
