Chloe was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne with a dark beauty and a bohemian spirit. Today, Chloe is... romantic, natural, sexy, feminine, soft, trendy, luxurious, elegant and free.

Rejecting the stiff formality of 1950s fashion, Gaby Aghion created soft, body-concious clothes from fine fabrics, and called them 'luxury pre-a porter'. The name 'Chloe' was chosen for its warm, feminine appeal.

In 1966, Karl Lagerfeld became the Chloe head designer. Under his direction, the brand became one of the most iconic fashion brands of the 70s. With its romantic, gauzy blouses and long skirts, Chloe defined the look of a generation.

Many well-known designers started their careers in fashion through an opportunity to work for Chloe: Paco Rabanne, Gerard Pipart, Karl Lagerfeld, Guy Paublin, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and Hannah MacGibbon.

The House of Chloe now includes: Ready-to-Wear Chloe, See by Chloe, handbags, shoes, eyewear, costume jewellery, resort wear and, of course, fragrance.
