Goes on like a powder but feels like silk – so you’ll get the coverage and wear of a foundation, but not a ‘cakey’ look reminiscent of Marie Antoinette! Suitable for all skin types. Made from naturally occurring minerals that are mined from the earth and then ground to a fine powder, Pure Mineral Makeup is a natural, easy alternative to traditional makeup. It gives skin a soft, natural luminosity that feels like silk. The quality of Bloom’s Pure Mineral Makeup range hasn’t been compromised by additives and other nasties. Binder, preservative, oil and talc free, means Pure Mineral Makeup won’t clog pores and is perfect for sensitive skin. It is also water resistant and provides excellent coverage for women with acne, rosacea, scarring or broken capillaries.

Directions
Apply with a circular buffing motion using Bloom's Mineral Foundation Brush; or use Bloom's Concealer Brush for spot application on areas that require extra coverage. A little Pure Mineral Makeup goes a long way. As the range is pure pigment, use a light hand and build colour up gradually to achieve the look you want. Mineral makeup applies better to hydrated skins so always moisturise or prime skin with Bloom’s Make-Up Base. Just make sure you wait a minute for it to sink in, before applying Pure Mineral Makeup.

As other reviewers have already noted the packaging is a bit silly, I overcame the blockage problem by just transferring the contents to an empty bare i.d pot, you could do similar. I'm giving it two stars due to the limited colour range: there are only three shades, I chose the lightest and still looked orange. Might suit more tanned complexions.

Overall this is a decent foundation for those who need a light-coverage, everyday base. It took a fair few layers to build up more coverage, so it therefore took a lot of time to apply. The packaging also added time to my morning routine - the holes were small and it took seemingly forever to shake enough product out. This product also needed quite a lot of buffing into the skin. The colour match was nice - very easy to wear. It also wore well throughout the day.

Bloom was the first mineral makeup I bought after reading all the hype about mineral makeup. I have acne prone skin, and my skin broke out the next day after using this. The name is slightly misleading, because if it is "Pure" Mineral Makeup, it shouldn't contain irritants like Bismuth Oxychloride which I found out later after reading the fine print on the box. I'm abit disappointed, I would have loved to support an Australian brand like Bloom.

This is a well-priced, high quality, Australian made mineral makeup. Once applied the colour is luminous and sits well on the skin. It did lose points with me however because the powder is very difficult to extract from the jar and seems to get plugged in the holes in the dispenser.
