Q: I have quite dry skin with pigmentation but the thing is I have no patience with skincare
routines. I know I should be doing more but I want to start one step at a time so I'd like
you to recommend a few things that would be easy for me to use.
At the moment I manage to put sunscreen on my face - that's about all. I'd like to work
on my wrinkles and pigmentation. I do use a cleanser already but what else would help?

Hi Emma,
A new skin routine can feel all a bit overwhelming when you're not used to it but there
are few things we can put into a mini routine that will have you seeing results quite
quickly. Later on when you feel confident we can always add to your routine. Let's walk
through a couple of basic products to use in the morning and a couple to use at night:
AM
After cleansing, I would recommend a high quality sunscreen like the ASAP
Moisturising Daily Defense SPF 30+. This is a two-in-one, so it's a moisturiser and
a sunscreen. You get hydration and sun protection, which is essential to prevent any
more pigmentation and it protects the skin against sun damage that causes the signs of
ageing.
An eye cream is also important to keep the delicate eye area cared for. A deeply
hydrating eye cream like the Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex would be ideal
for you to be using in the morning and at night time.
PM
After you have cleansed and used your eye cream I'd suggest you use the Medic8 White
Balance Serum. It's one of the best products for pigmentation at the moment.
Pigmentation is difficult to budge because it usually takes years to form in the skin. If
you persist with the serum you will see results.
You can use this underneath the Dermalogica Age Smart Super Rich Repair. This
will give your skin a wonderful blast of nourishment to beat the dryness, while also
delivering your skin age-preventative ingredients.
