I'm smack-bang in the middle of an SK-II obsession.  Every morning I've been using Cellumination Mask-In Lotion, a rather unusual milky lotion that's something of a cross between a toner, a mask and an instant skin pick-me-up.  I apply it after cleansing and before serum, and it seems to hydrate, tighten and brighten my skin.

I'm also massively excited about the addition of philosophy to our stable of brands. Amazing Grace is a beautiful soapy-clean floral fragrance, and the Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 cleanser is brilliant stuff (not to mention awesome value at $30 for a huge bottle that will last yonks).

Why did I stop using the Biotherm BB Cream every day? It's like magic! I whack a quick layer of this on and then set with Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish for natural-looking, long-lasting coverage which is fast and easy. It's great for an everyday base, and then I use my Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr foundation for nights out or those days when I need a bit more coverage.

New nail obsession? Lancome's Vernis in Love nail polish in 112B. The formula is fabulous and I have been able to get 4 days wear without chipping - which NEVER happens for me! The colour is stunning and it's my new go-to shade of choice.

Falling in love with a foundation is pretty much for keeps. We all stray at times, we look for something better but when you have a favourite that works with your skin type and tone you can't help but keep coming back. The Becca Boudoir Mineral Foundation gives beautiful coverage and it's a super fine pressed powder. The shade I use (Bliss) blends flawlessly with my skin. I love that I can throw this in my handbag. My only gripes is that it is a tiny compact, no generous serves here and it doesn't have space for an applicator sponge in the compact but the quality of the foundation makes up for it!

So anybody who knows me knows I absolutely LOVE big hair, however unfortunately I was not blessed with voluminous or thick lush locks so it's a constant battle for me every weekend to get my hair to look the way it should (I blame those darn Kardashians for giving me unrealistic expectations). So after trialling an array of products I finally have my killer combo down pat. I've been applying KEVIN.MURPHY Anti.Gravity to my roots when the hair is still wet. This is such a lovely light crème with a gorgeous lavender scent that gives even the finest hair some oomph without the crustiness. I then distribute KEVIN.MURPHY Body.Builder evenly throughout my roots before drying with a barrel brush. Voila! I'm also quite fond of the evo Helmut Hairspray which keeps my hair firmly in place without making it look hard as some hairsprays can do. Winner!

For the last few days I've been trialling Laura Mercier's new Moisture Supreme Foundation (replaces the discontinued Moisturising Foundation).  I've always loved the flawless coverage of Laura Mercier's foundations, but tended to save them for special occasions as they took time to apply and blend properly.

Moisture Supreme is much easier to apply just with fingers, it blends easily to give a slightly dewy medium coverage that's suitable for everyday wear.  I was also stoked to discover that they've tweaked the Blush Ivory shade - I used to have to mix Blush Ivory with Warm Ivory to get the perfect shade, but the new Blush Ivory has less of a pink undertone and now it's just right!

I'm back in love with Terax Crema and wondering why I ever stopped using it. It really is the ultimate conditioner; nothing detangles and leaves my hair feeling soft and silky quite like it. Between this and O&M's Frizzy Logic serum - which smoothes down frizzies and smells awesome to boot - my hair is feeling softer than ever and very healthy.

A quick shout out to the Ecoya Peony & Pink Poppy Candle too, which is absolutely beautiful and getting lots of burn time at my place right now. The scent throw is great and it burns evenly - plus it looks great.

It's hard to find a good mineral compact. I'm not fond of the loose messy stuff. The Mirenesse Mineral Clone Face Powder is both compact and mineral AND gives great coverage. I use the Vienna shade on my skin. The compact can be thrown into the handbag or travel bag easily and you can touch up without any fuss. It comes with a good quality applicator sponge that sits in the compact. Simple and easy with a great finish!

With all the lotions and potions and crazy serums I've been using, I started to get worried I was over-stimulating my skin when I started to breakout. I decided to switch to a moisturiser with no active ingredients, just something for pure hydration.

Now I'm combination with dry cheeks and an oily T, however if I don't adequately hydrate my cheeks, my sebaceous glands have an over-productive field day! I started to use Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance at night which has a wonderfully smooth texture and is one of those moisturisers which instantly hydrates the skin. It left my skin feeling supple and smooth and never greasy, even in my t-zone. This is definitely one to try if you have thirsty skin, especially coming into winter.

I've rediscovered primer.

I think for a while there I got into this whole minimalist post-baby makeup routine, and I stopped using primer, and I forgot why I ever used it.  And then one morning recently I came across my old jar of Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch in my makeup bag, and thought "oh why not", and spread a tiny pea-size blob across my face before applying foundation... and ohhhh, THAT'S why I used to use primer! Such a difference! My makeup sat better, didn't crease under my eyes, and stayed on much longer.

Oh, primer... let's never fight again xx

I've found my holy grail foundation! Lancome's new Teint Idole 24H foundation applies like a dream (I just use my fingers, and it looks natural with a medium coverage and spreads really well), it looks flawless on and it lasts brilliantly. 24 hours might be a slight exaggeration, but by the end of the day it still looks good and I'd only bother touching up if I'm going out again in the evening. 010 is the perfect match for my fair skin and I'm overjoyed with this new product!

And Cavalli! Oh Cavalli. I am quite literally obsessed with the hot new Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum signature fragrance. It is the sexiest, warmest, most enveloping fragrance I have come across. And I should really be keeping this to myself so everyone else doesn't discover its beauty!

I love a good scrub. By a good scrub I mean one that has lots of granules that won't scratch at the skin and I also mean a scrub that has some AHA in it to get in there and get rid of dead skin cells and clear out the pores. The Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub has an impressive 14% Glycolic acid and leaves your skin feeling lush! You can use it as you would any scrub and you can leave it on the skin for longer so the glycolic has extra time to work.

The quest for the perfect mineral is over! For years I have been trying to find the perfect mineral makeup, something which is not only the perfect shade but has great lasting power and covers imperfections without having to apply extra concealer or layers!

Initially I wasn't sure about Inika because I could see a slight speckle of shimmer in the formulation, however with so many people raving about it I had to give it a go. The longevity of this product is incredible. So many foundations slip and slide on my skin (even with a setting powder) but this little baby stays put long after the working day is over and doesn't even go shiny. The colour range is quite broad which meant I was able to find a pretty perfect match to my skin tone. This is definitely a keeper!
