LECITHIN (PHOSPHOLIPIDS)
Phospholipids are the main constituents of the cellular membranes and are fundamental in efficiently preventing the skin’s ageing. They carry out a nourishing, hydrating and soothing action. Rich in precious anti-oxidants vitamin A and E to fight premature ageing; as well as phosphorus, an indispensible element for healthy skin function. Phospholipids are useful for treating dry skin, eczema and some types of acne.
SODIUM HYALURONATE (Hyaluronic Acid)
A natural component of healthy skin tissue, hyaluronic acid retains water inside the skin and hydrates the collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis (which maintain skin tone and elasticity). With ageing, the level of hyaluronic acid in the skin progressively diminishes and it becomes necessary to replace what has been lost. The hyaluronic acid found in BAKEL P-Lipic is of a superior quality, with small molecules for maximum skin penetration.
Hyaluronic acid absorbs water and swells which makes it an excellent hydrating agent. It distributes itself on the surface of the cutaneous layer preventing water loss and thereby hydrating the skin. Hyaluronic acid creates a film on the skin, which prevents dehydration and keeps the skin elastic and soft.
TREHALOSE
Trehalose is a sugar that constitutes a sort of invisible film that protects biological structures, allowing them to resist extreme conditions. Introduced into a protective cream, it can slow down the degenerative processes of the skin. Trehalose is used for the purpose of preventing skin dehydration and to main the integrity of cellular membranes subjected to stressful conditions.
PENTYLENE GLYCOL - carries out a moisturising action. Its presence makes acids more tolerable.
CAPRYLYL GLYCOL - this naturally derived substance contributes to maintaining the ideal hydration level, it performs an important soothing and nourishing action and prevents water loss through the skin. It is particularly useful in cases of dry and rough skin.
LACTIC ACID - carries out a moisturising action; forms one of the components of the Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF), a natural emulsion that is produced by the body to protect the skin.
