This is also an excellent "base" fragrance, which can be combined with other Annick Goutal fragrances, for an even more personal and original composition. Annick Goutal chose to create this perfume for her own pleasure: "Roses symbolise beauty, eternal femininity. I wanted to dedicate a fragrance to them, which would also evoke this femininity." Composed of a bouquet of six different roses: May rose, Turkish rose, Bulgarian rose, Damask rose, Egyptian rose and Moroccan rose.

Overall

The queen of all rose fragrances. More like a rambling overgrown country garden of fat blowsy roses, than a clipped demure hothouse-bred rose. The sillage is not quite as good as I'd like for an eau de parfum, so I layer it with Jurlique's rose body oil or Dr.Hauschka's rose body lotion. The bottle is gorgeous.
