A bit heavy for oily skin

Sara

I can see how this cream would be great for someone with normal or dry skin, but for my oily, acne-prone skin it was a bit too rich and heavy. I wish it suited...

I just finished my tube of this and found it to be a beautiful rich sunscreen moisturiser which hydrates while it protects. The aroma is divine and the consistency is glorious. I found it left a protective layer on my face which never fully absorbed (some may dislike this). Also, given the SPF15 rating, I would in essence use it as a moisturiser and follow with additional sunscreen. I recently tri...

  2. Second time purchased, luxurious winter moisturiser

    Skincarelover

This is my second tube, I only use natural sunscreens on my face and this one sinks in well. It is really thick, if I didn’t have dry skin I think it might be a little much. I also don’t use in summer or when going outside as it’s only spf 15
  3. So easy

    Lily

This is a great moisturiser that is so easy to apply everyday to protect your skin! Just wish they had it in a higher SPF
  4. Good but there's better

    Cassandra

I used to use this all the time, but honestly there is such greater choice of spfs on the market. Also don't like that it's only spf 15.
  5. A bit heavy for oily skin

    Sara

I can see how this cream would be great for someone with normal or dry skin, but for my oily, acne-prone skin it was a bit too rich and heavy. I wish it suited my skin better because I love the scent!
  6. Wish it were 30+!

    Iz

I really love this cream, it is quite thick and rich so a little goes a long way but it sits really nicely on the skin and absorbs well. I was gifted a tube and wore it everyday under my moisturiser and makeup and really loved it but I feel living in Aus I need a bit more than 15+ SPF to wear daily. I really hope they bring out a 30+ and/or 50+ version!
  7. More suited to dry skin types

    caitlin

I bought this cream for use outside while working at several festivals one summer. I really did feel like it protected me from the elements, partly because of the spf but also because of how rich the cream was.

All in all though I felt that the spf content was not high enough to be worth applying constantly, and if they brought this out in an spf 30 I would be alllll over it.

  9. handy

I keep this in my desk draw and apply before I go out to lunch, especially during summer. It's a handy cream to have
  10. Not a fan

Didn’t like this moisturiser. Tacky feeling on your skin all day, after using in the morning. Smells nice, but didnt feel good on my skin.
  11. strongly scented

    Lydia

I like how this has spf and is also a good moisturiser, but the scent is a bit too strong for me. I do have sensitive skin so this might not be a problem for others
  12. Good sun protection but thick texture

    Marnie

This hydrating SPF 15 moisturiser goes on thick like a sunscreen. It has the beautiful Aesop scent and definitely adds moisture to dry skin. It is great for summer and sun protection but I wouldn’t use under make up as it does go on quite thick.
  13. Lovely but scent too strong

    Amy

I have oily combination skin but I am pregnant so loving very thick and hydrating creams at the moment. If you can handle a thick texture this one is very cream and feels nourishing, without being too oily or greasy like some physical sunscreens. The texture felt like it was working both in terms of moisturising as well as level of adequate sun protection for the SPF. The tube is very user friendl...

  14. Wish the SPG was higher

    Bette

I love the look and feel of this product, goes on the skin really smoothly and has a nice scent but I just wish the SPF was higher. The tube is really easy to make sure you get it all out though and the tube is easy to travel with as you can roll it up if you're low on space
  15. nice addition to anti-ageing routine for dry skin

    Nora

I would only use this on dry or dehydrated skin. It's lovely but on the rich side so a little goes a long way. I love that it targets fine lines and pigmentation. I'm in my 30s and this is perfect to include in your anti-ageing routine.
  16. AESOP SAGE & ZINC FACIAL HYDRATING CREAM SPF15

    Lily

Nice moisturiser, pretty lightweight and really good for red skin. As someone with oily-combo skin I did find this to work better at night and to use something lighter during the day. It also works well under makeup.
  17. Not sure on this one

    Jessica

The texture of this is quite thick, but I guess that is to be expected of a physical sunscreen. Not sure if I would repurchase, would be keen to try out something else similar. Enjoyed the convenience of the packaging, able to get every last drop out.
  18. perhaps a little too heavy

    Daniella

I really wanted to like this, as I was on the hunt for a moisturiser with an SPF. I have combination skin that can be dry at times, but I just found this moisturiser thin but strangely heavy. I would apply under my makeup, and I felt like in the car on my way to work I could feel myself 'sweating' under the moisturiser - like my skin couldn't breath properly. It was an odd sensation - a product th...

  19. Luxuriant physical sunscreen

    Margaret

I have combination skin and bought this to cope with winter skin during the colder months in Melbourne. It's thick and luxuriant and has chic purse-friendly packaging, perfect for travel. It leaves the slightest white cast, which isn't too bad for a zinc based product but I am already very pale (NC15-20) so I can imagine it would not be great for darker tones. I've dedicated a star for that reason...

  20. Does the job

    Samuel

I've been using the Cosmedix similar product which I love but wanted to look for a slightly cheaper alternative. This ticks all the boxes, has a nice, fairly unisex smell and doesn't feel too thick. I have combination skin and this works well for me
  21. Holy Grail Product

    Gail

if you are susceptible to dry skin in the winter, trust this hydrating cream to keep your skin clear and feeling loverly.
  22. Not that impressed

    Sylvia

I was a little disappointed by this, it does feel lovely on the skin but a little oily for me, might be better suited to dry skin. In saying that it goes under my makeup really well there's just something about the formula I don't love.
  23. nice day cream but not lovely the package

    Louisa

I have been using aesop sage and zinc cream for ages and I still love it as it is lightweight but does not make my combination skin break out or feel too oily (still does go oily after a long day but its manageable).
I didn't give this full stars as I am not a fan of the packaging. I normally buy the jars but it was out of stock so I tried this and although it would come in handy for travel...

  24. Pop it in your purse

    Jules

I just love this, I'd used it in the tube (handy, compact and light weight) for a daily top up while hiking (sweating then rinsing face) smells wonderful (even had comments from others) leaves a fresh youthful sheen on my 60yo skin and spf 15 bonus. Decided to buy in the jar as it will be my daytime go to cream, but will still have a tube for top ups.
  25. I LOVE AESOP

    Brittnee

I have oily skin with large pores :( but this moisturizer is the best!
I'm also really prone to sun spots and this has SPF15, great for everyday.
It feels very light on my face and looks fresh all day!
