This unique fluid solution containing malic acid, mandelic acid, tartaric acid and kojic acid which act synergistically to remove dead skin cells and promote skin brightening, radiance and luminosity.

Bakel’s Malic solution contains the key active ingredients; Glycerine and Pentylene Glycol which both help to maintain the skin’s own ideal moisture levels; Vegetable Hydrocellulose – a protective agent and Ammonium Hydroxide which instantly neutralises the acid pH of this solution, thereby maintaining the skins optimal pH balance. This solution is formulated to remain on the skin, maximising its beneficial effects.

It is suitable for all skin types, and should be used on alternate days before other treatments. It is particularly useful for acne-affected skins ideally from the age of 20+.

INGREDIENT DESCRIPTION:

GLYCERIN
The vegetal glycerin is extracted from the coconut palm tree. It carries out the important action of maintaining the skin’s hydration and moisture level. It also prevents water loss from the skin.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL
Pentylene glycol has a soothing and hydrating effect synergistically with glycerine. The inclusion of pentylene glycol makes the acids more absorbable to the skin.

MALIC ACID
Malic acid can be found in apples, grapes, plums, currants and quinces. It helps to metabolize fats and proteins and has a smoothing, exfoliating and regenerative effect on skin.

MANDELIC ACID
Mandelic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), is named after the German word for almond (Mandel) and derives from the hydrolysis of an extract of bitter almonds. It has been studied extensively and is a proven ingredient in treating and suppressing common skin problems such as photoaging, irregular pigmentation and acne. Moreover it has proven useful in preparing the skin for laser peeling and in helping the skin heal after laser surgery.

TARTARIC ACID
Tartaric acid is an organic acid and is present in small quantities in bananas, tamarinds, potatoes and cucumbers and many other vegetables and their corresponding juices. It has smoothing and regenerative effect on skin.

KOJIC ACID
Kojic acid has a lightening effect on pigment spots and skin discoloration, as well as being an inhibitor of melanin. Kojic acid has a toning effect on the skin. It accelerates cellular turnover, thereby producing an extremely powerful anti-wrinkle effect. It also has an important anti-oxidant action, helping to slow down and prevent the reactions that lead to ageing of the skin.

AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE
The ammonia water makes the entire complex highly absorbable on the skin.
